NRP 77 dialogue event “Regulating AI: Risks, rights and responsibilities”
Can legal, ethical, economic and technical aspects of AI be regulated in existing frameworks? Research findings on AI regulation and legal practice will be presented and discussed at the dialogue event.
Together with the Federal Office of Justice, we invite you to the dialogue event “Regulating AI: risks, rights and responsibilities”.
To ensure that the benefits of technologies can be used without their negative consequences affecting society, both existing regulations and legal practice must be revised. Using the consequences of the development and application of “artificial intelligence (AI)” by way of example, it can be seen that the effects of digital transformation are dependent on a range of factors and differ depending on context and objectives.
Selected research teams will be presenting their research findings on AI regulation at the dialogue event. In the subsequent discussion rounds, practitioners will comment on the findings before taking part in the plenary discussion. The event is aimed at representatives from politics, the judiciary and data protection, stakeholders from digitalisation in the economy and the labour market, and other interested individuals.
The presentations will be held in the national languages German and French. Attendance is free of charge. The number of places is limited.
