Data access and trust in the public sector: learning what works

The talk by Dr Paolo Paruolo will focus on the role of learning "what works and for whom" in evidence-informed public policy making, and in its contribution to trust in the public sector. It will cover the experience of the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, now in its 8-th year of activity. The role of properly accessing data from public sources will be emphasized as a catalyst in creating value added for public welfare.
